Day Trips – Because Your Dog Deserves to Go On Adventures Too
What are Day Trips?
Day Trips are when we take your dogs around San Diego with other fellow pack (dog) members.
What do the dogs do on a Day Trip?
Quite simply, we walk! The ultimate end goal is to teach the dogs how to be calm and in harmony with the pack. A well structured pack walk is a great way to introduce dogs to each other. It unifies them as one pack and begins their relationship on the right foot. Benefits include:
- Reactive dogs learn how to be calm with other reactive dogs.
- During the walk dogs learn how to communicate calming signals to each other.
- Dogs are mentally challenged. They have something to focus on.
- Nervous dogs become more confident when they are able to pack walk in a safe and structure environment. They are pressured to be or do anything other than to walk with the pack.
Experienced Staff Members
Granted, if you have ever seen The Pet Whisperers on a Day Trip walking a pack of up to 20+ dogs, we make it look easy.
And that’s because we are extremely well trained as dog trainers. We are experts at reading dogs.
In order for something like this to not turn into a giant dog fight we know how to read and anticipate canine body language and is savvy at training and redirecting dogs.
Pack walks is a fantastic way to help dogs of any disposition. It desensitizes them to other dogs and high stimulation environments. After regular Day Trips with us, your dogs will enjoy their daily walks with you more. A cooperative walk is the foundation of your relationship with your dog.
